Getting to Greenwich
Towards the end of the season, Piggy spent several days filming with Lizzie Greenwood-Hughes and Pete Doherty at her yard in Leicestershire and Little Downham Horse Trials, making a short film for Horse & Country’s eight-part series ‘Getting To Greenwich’.
Each episode explores the hopes and dreams of potential contenders for Team GBR. Viewers get the opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes at Piggy’s busy yard, meet the horses and watch the trials and tribulations of her quest to achieve the once in a lifetime dream of competing in the Olympics on home turf.
Piggy’s film was exclusively screened at the Electric Cinema in Notting Hill, London and will be repeated on Horse & Country channel over the coming weeks.
2011: For the third year running Piggy finished the season in fourth place in the British Eventing Rider Rankings and leading lady rider. Piggy was also selected for the British team at the European Championships, winning a bronze medal.
Her team horse Jakata topped the British Eventing Horse Rankings for 2011 while DHI Topper W ranked 7th. Based in Leicestershire she has an impressive string of both experienced and young horses.
