Aston-le-Walls (3)

Piggy had a phenomenal Aston. Thirteen runners, 4 winners and 4 top five placings.

Vanir Kamira was back with a bang winning the WEG Advanced section on her dressage score of 26.6. Piggy said: “She felt great, so I’m looking forward to some bigger challenges with her in the autumn.”

Brookfield Innocent, Emerald Jonny and Madame Butterfly were the other winners, at intermediate, open novice and novice level, all finishing on their first phase scores.

Quarrycrest Echo scored 28.3 in his advanced dressage and jumped a lovely clear round but Piggy withdrew before cross country. Cooley Monsoon was 5th in the OI and both Castletown Clover and Graf Cavalier had steady runs on their first outing back after a break.

AKD Corline and Carnival March both jumped lovely double clears in the Intermediate but ran steadily on the cross country.

The team had put a huge amount of effort over the weekend which was much appreciated by everyone.
