Land Rover Burghley

Trevor Dickens’s Vanir Kamira posted her third top five placing at Burghley in three years. Runner up in 2017, fifth in 2018, she again filled the runner up spot this year, missing out on the title by just .1 of a penalty.

Fifth after dressage on a score of 26.9, Piggy and ‘Tilly’ were the only combination to complete Captain Mark Phillips’s testing cross country course inside the optimum time, which moved the pair up to second going in to the final day.

Nerve wrackingly Tilly had the first show jump down, giving overnight leader Pippa Funnell a bit of breathing space. Fortunately the rest of the round was clear, and Piggy retained her second place.
